Horse & Saddlery Sale Thursday 9th September

Horse sale is conducted at Maitland Saleyards by Bowe & Lidbury P/L on the 2nd Thursday of every month. We have a through put of 900 horses yearly, with Maitland being one of the longest ongoing centres for horse sales in the country.

The sale attracts many buyers from all over the state on a regular basis. We start on Yard horses at 11am at the completion of selling the yard horses we move straight onto the ridden section, at the end of selling all the horses we then conduct a saddlery sale.

We recommend that your horses arrive at the saleyards before 10.00am, giving your horse every oppurtunity of achieving the best price and allowing the buyers to have inspect the horses before the sale.

If you have not sold with Bowe & Lidbury before, you will need to fill out a GST form on the day of sale, which gives us your ABN if any, trading details and address. Horse sale commission is 10% + GST, Saddlery commission 15% + GST, Maitland Saleyards fees $5 + GST

Warning: Anyone riding a horse for sale must wear an approved helmet.
